Basin Park

Basin ParkThe establishment of Canal Basin Park was initiated by Forest Church and it was one of the first projects of Lyons Falls ALIVE.  Volunteers built dry stone walls, an elevated deck, and installed benches, a grill and other amenities.  The village assisted with applying for grants to Iroquois Gas, Black River Blueways and the Pratt Northram Foundation.  No smoking allowed in the park.



Riverside Park

CIMG2704Located at 6904 Laura St. in Lyons Falls.  There are bathrooms available from spring to fall, but are closed during the late fall and winter months.  The park is open from sun up to sun down. The Lyons Falls ALIVE Farmers’ Market is held here every Tuesday from noon-6 p.m. between June and October. The park has: a playground, a large pavilion with picnic tables, a tennis court, a basketball court, and 3 ball fields.

To reserve the pavilion for the months of May and June call Linda Higby at 315-348-9932; to reserve it for the months of July, August, September and October, telephone Thelma Poste at 315-348-8909. There is no charge for the use of the pavilion. The Pavilion rules are: No animals allowed in the pavilion; leave area clean, take home your trash; and no smoking. The park closes at sundown.

DSCN9960There is a half mile track around the park for walking /running. Near this track is a 20 station fitness trail.

No dogs are allowed on the playground or pavilion. The village leash is in effect in all areas of the park. NO SMOKING  allowed in the village parks.
